About the Kitsap Junior Livestock Auction & Kitsap Fair and Stampede Association
The Kitsap Junior Livestock Auction is a supported by the Kitsap Fair and Stampede Association. KFSA's mission is to provide a fun, safe, and innovative entertainment and educational event that preserves the tradition of a Fair and Stampede that advances understanding of agriculture and livestock, fosters community engagement, and supports local youth. Through the Junior Livestock auction, KFSA is supports youth interest and education in agriculture and livestock management. The JLA promotes the principles of good citizenship, ethics, sound business practices, fairness, and responsibility throughout the process of selecting and caring for the animals that the youth bring to market.
KFSA and youth auction supporters promote continuing education through scholarship grants for up to 3 graduating youth that participated in the auction.
To become a supporter of the Junior Livestock Auction, consider attending the KFSA Livestock Committee meetings, held on the third Tuesday of the month (except for August) at 6:00 PM in the Kitsap Sun Pavilion meeting room.
